Cultural Sheffield

Art Galleries and Museums

The City Art Galleries house the marvellous art collections of the City of Sheffield. The City is fortunate in having three very special places to show art -- the Graves Art Gallery, the Mappin Art Gallery and the Millennium Galleries. The Graves is part of Tudor Square, in the centre of the city, with the new Millennium Galleries (incorporating the Ruskin Galleries) is nearby on Arundel Gate. The Mappin is easily accessible and adjacent to this City Museum, in the grounds of Western Park, close to the University of Sheffield. Other museums and sites of interest have developed around these core galleries.

Sheffield Industrial Museum Trust has a web site covering up-to-date information on Kellam Island, Abbeydale and Sheperd Wheel museums, as well as archives and other interesting things.
